Correct Roland it does reflect badly on owners and some who just have a company car and run it into the ground without thinking about well, their own safety.
I think equally worrying is the lack of road traffic police type people who should be out there keeping the roads safe from morons who can't do the basics of vehicle safety.
The Schlumpf museum is well worth a visit. It is getting close to 40 years ago that I went (how the hell did that much time pass) but do remember the 'wow' moment of walking into the main hall and seeing the sheer size of it, and the number of cars in there.

completely agree that there not enough police around, no incentive for actually caring about the roadworthiness of your car.

It’s terrible how drivers who can “afford” a new car don’t look after them. Especially, worrying is the state of their tyres.
