Thanks for reading Andy, actually a small light thing works as a battery car, I've no problem with that at all, actually a few weeks back I mentioned the electric Panda. Yes if you listen to the interview the costs are horrendous but apparently there are people with more money than sense who just want to feel good about themselves. Quite incredible reallly.
Can't remember if I've told you before but many decades ago my Uncle has an electric Renault 5 Lectric Leopard, way before the Renaulution idea spawned the current one.
As for converting a classic, of course petcan spend their money how they like, but whenever anyone says how cheap they will be to run it is clear they are clutching at very slippery straws to find some justification. The conversion costs are massive and unlikel ever to pay off even if avoiding ULEZ charges with a daily driver. Added to almost certainly never paying back the emissions involved in creating the conversion parts... I'd better stop!
